My research focusses on the design of simple and robust decision aids for use in situations characterized by time pressure, stress, and high stakes (military, police, emergency medical services); designing interventions for the transparent and intuitive communication of risk and uncertainty; and assessing and counteracting defensive decision making in organizational contexts.
