Dr. Frauke Mörike

Lupe

Research & Teaching Fellow

As post-doctoral fellow I am working on several research projects and conducting ethnographic fieldwork on-site within work systems. As part of the M.Sc. “Human Factors” curriculum I am teaching relevant methods and theories from social sciences for the studies of work systems and supervise students for their master thesis.

With a background rooting in Anthropology and Business Information Systems Engineering I see the openness for different disciplinary and praxis-oriented perspectives as fundamentally relevant for my work.

Fields of interest:

  • Anthropology of Work and Organizations
  • Digitalisation and changes of working concepts
  • Misunderstandings in der Work environment
  • Applied Design Anthropology for Human Factors Research
  • Ethnographic methods for researching organizations and work systems
  • Inter- and transdisciplinary research collaboration

Selected Publications:

  • Mörike, Frauke (accepted). “During a busy day I don’t get much done” - On the materiality of immaterial labour in a multinational professional services firm. In Ethnoscripts 02/17.

  • Mörike, Frauke (2016). Working misunderstandings and notions of collaboration. Towards a framework of working misunderstanding as analytical category for ethnographic insight. In Civilisations 64 (1&2), 153-168
